Funding

Georgian Association is run by a volunteer board of directors who are passionate about the mission of the organization. Over the years, the Association has funded various academic, educational, and cultural activities through generous donations from Georgian-American community members past and present.

Your tax deductible contributions enable us to pursue various activities in support of the mission – to bring the two countries closer together, maintain Georgian culture and heritage, and representing the Georgian interests in the United States.

The Association is a proud supporter of the Academy of Georgian Heritage in Bethesda, MD. The academy educates Georgian-American children in Georgian language, history, literature, art, panduri, dance, and physical theater.

The Association also proudly supports the School of Georgian Heritage of the Georgian Heritage Foundation in Santa Clara, CA. The goal of the organization, founded in August 2020 is to promote, preserve, and popularize Georgian Heritage among the Bay Area’s Georgian community and friends of Georgia. Most recently, their students completed a calligraphy project learning about Georgian alphabet and creating amazing pieces featured in the video clip.

The Association will consider additional opportunities to provide support educational programs for Georgians in the US.
