
Georgian Association in the USA pleased to announce Georgian Days in Washington, DC – May 17–26, 2026.
Georgian Days will be a curated series of events that brings our community together in Washington DC for a special celebration of Georgian culture, history, and heritage as we mark the 108th anniversary of Georgian independence (May 26, 1918).
Together with our wonderful partners — Pesvebi NY, Veterans Charitable Foundation, American Friends of Georgia, and The Academy of Georgian Heritage, we are excited to present a meaningful and memorable program for our community.
We warmly invite fellow Georgians, Georgian-Americans, and all friends of Georgia to join us in this celebration.
Here’s what’s coming to Washington, DC :
May 17, 4 pm. Georgian National Dance Ensemble “Pesvebi” presents “Queen Tamar”: A breathtaking immersive performance followed by a post-show reception. Tickets can be purchased here
May 21, 7 pm. Georgian Trivia Night A fun, family-friendly evening to test your knowledge of Georgia.
May 23, 10:30 am. Georgian Alphabet Workshop: Discover the beauty of the Mkhedruli script in a welcoming, hands-on setting led by a professional linguist.
May 25, 11:00 am. Virtual launch of the Georgian literary magazine “Ertoba” – a special milestone for Georgian literature in the diaspora, with the opportunity to join from anywhere.
