Call for Submissions: ერთობა Magazine

Contribute to Georgia’s rich literary culture today! ერთობა is a new, unthemed online literary magazine dedicated to uplifting Georgian creators in the United States. Inspired from historical examples such as ივერია, დროება, and საქართველოს მოამბე, the magazine will highlight Georgian diasporic experiences through art and literature. Genres such as fiction, nonfiction, poetry, and photography will contribute to the magazine’s goals of conversation and community. ერთობა will accept submissions in Georgian and English.

For historical examples of periodicals and newspapers written by Georgians in the USA, we recommend the Georgian Studies Program at Davis Center, Harvard’s newest project, a digital archive entitled: “A Heritage Remembered: A History of the Georgian Diaspora in the USA.” The link is below:

We welcome submissions from anyone with ties to Georgia or who is interested in Georgia. Submissions for this edition will stay open until January 15, 2026.

Languages accepted: Georgian and English

Genres accepted: 

  • Poetry (1-3 poems)
  • Short fiction (1 piece, 1500-2000 words)
  • Op-ed (1 essay; 500-1000 words)
  • Photography (1-3 photos, with captions)

Format:

  • Times New Roman, 12-point font
  • Word Document
  • For photographs: Include the name of the piece and 1-2 sentence caption
